Here is good news for Mallika Sherawat die-hard fans.

Come August 14 (Indian Independence Day), the Bollywood hot babe Mallika Sherawat will be honored by the city of Los Angeles (LA).

LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, former Mayor Richard Riordan, Councilmember Jose Huizar and the LA City Council will recognize Malika as an honorary citizen of the City of LA.

The 27 year old Indian actress will be honored for her astonishing career and noble efforts.

Confirming the development, a source close to Mallika said: "It will be a celebrity -studded event where many special guests are expected to attend. Some of these will include her Hollywood friends like world-famous composer Yanni, film director Jay Chandrashekar, CAA super agent Emanuel Nunez, film director Jesse Dylan, Hisss director Jennifer Lynch and producer Govind Menon among others."

The source further added that the Mallika has personally invited all of them to the event.

With this, the Rohtak born Mallika Sherawat will become the first tinsel town celebrity to be conferred with a tag of honorary citizen of LA.

The actress has just completed her shooting "The Hiss," directed by Jennifer Lynch, the daughter of famed director David Lynch, which also co-stars Irfaan Khan.
