Hospital staff shortage has again become the spotlight as one more hospital across the nation was added to the staff scarcity list. The whole issue came to limelight after the region’s renowned SMS hospital premises was crammed with the anger of a patient’s family.

As per the reported information the whole, controversy started from the moment, a middle aged man was found dead on his bed.

However, the hospital authorities were not making any official comments about the issue but the dead man family continuously blamed the authorities for killing their relative.

The incident happened on Saturday, when the patients lost his life and his body was lying beside an insensible youth and a critically ill patient for a longer period of time.

This was not the first time that the hospital’s staff shortage was highlights, as earlier also many visitors claimed that just because of the lack of proper attendant, many patients were left at the hospital’s doorsteps.

Giving a counter-attack, the hospital’s Working Superintendent Dr. Kamlesh Khilnani commented, "Neither any record of the patient was found in the hospital's records nor was the patient able to identify the ward he claims to have been admitted earlier”.
