Mercury rising as never before, Delhi already having temperatures well above normal
The weather office has said that with the minimum temperature remaining well above average early on Monday, the capital is set for yet another scorching week ahead.
Talking on the basis of reports, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said, "The minimum temperature recorded early Monday was five degrees above average, at 22 degrees Celsius. The maximum is expected to touch 38 degrees Celsius."
On Sunday, the minimum temperature was recorded as 22.3 and the maximum temperature was 37.5 degrees Celsius. Both these marks are at least four notches above average for this time of the year. (With Inputs from Agencies)
