Microsoft and Google agree on a collaborative model

Microsoft-Office-2010Microsoft argument over Google's claims that Office 2010 lacks in joint properties offered by Google Docs and Google Apps.

Google further states that Web apps of Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft's updated productivity application suite and the cloud versions of Word, PowerPoint and Excel offer limited collaboration capabilities.

Google further states that the collaborative functions are available only through the PC versions of Office 2010 applications.

It was Microsoft's Office Product Management Group's Senior Marketing Manager who states that Office 2010 brings co-authoring capabilities to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote.

It was the initial iteration of the Office Web Apps, OneNote and Excel are the two applications and that are based on strong customer feedback that these are web-based collaboration that are required.
