Mohammed bin Zayed attends a play 'Zayed and the Dream'

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Abu Dhabi, Dec. 03rd, 2008 --Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Commander of the UAE Armed Forces HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attended the play 'Zayed and the Dream' at the Abu Dhabi National Theatre. It was presented to mark the 37th National Day anniversary.

A musical play by Maestro Abdul Halim Caracalla was held to celebrate the UAE's 37th National Day in the capital. "The work, titled Zayed and the Dream, is the first of its kind artistic venture", said Mohammad Khalaf Al Mazroui, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, in a statement.

Under the guidance of Sheikh Mohammad, the play was presented to the audience by the authority in cooperation with Caracalla Dance Theatre. The work is a bright artistic vision inspired by the life of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

"Art occupies a high place in the history of a land and its civilisation. Artistic works are the manifestation of the artists' and in turn the spirit of the people of the land," said Al Mazroui.

Ivan Caracalla, director of the play said: "Zayed and the Dream," is a musical which is a call for beauty, creativity, love and peace.

Present at the event were Interior Minister HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Presidential Affairs Minister HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court and Chairman of the Higher Corporation for Specialised Economic Zones HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, senior officials and a number of diplomats accredited in the UAE.
