Mozilla releases Firefox 16

Mozilla releases Firefox 16The Firefox 16 version - meant to be a much enhanced platform for developing apps for the desktop browser as well as the mobile web - has recently been released by Mozilla, with the aim of giving the web developers a notable array of new tools to build and debug websites.

The update to the new Firefox 16 version will be accessible by the present Firefox users when they restart the browser next time. Though the updated release is still not much feature-abundant for the ordinary users as of now, it does appear to be an appealing update for the developers; thanks largely to the new Developer Toolbar and its "command line" tool.

The new Developer Toolbar - which can be used by hitting the keyboard shortcut Shift-F2 - is actually a speedier and more convenient mechanism for accessing the Inspector and Console, and some of the other common web developer tools; while the new "command line" tool is what Mozilla has described as a "Graphical Command Line Interface."

The most attractive aspect of the Developer Toolbar, the "command line" tool - which features on the left side of the toolbar, at the place of the current shell-style prompt - can be used by hitting the keyboard shortcut Shift-F2, and then typing the commands.

With Firefox 16 version, Mozilla's key focus is on advancing the browser's support for superior Cascading Style Sheets features, HTML 5 programming interfaces, and a couple of APIs particularly suitable for tablets and mobile devices
