MTNL launches security service in Delhi
On Wednesday, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd announced the launch of its full PC security service. This will be for the broadband users of the company and has been launched only for the Delhi circle.
The service is a anti-virus and PC threat protection in nature and has been made by MTNL in collaboration with F-Secure Corporation.
F-Secure is an international provider of such services and is a leading player in the field of ISPs.
The service will be made available to the customers at a minimal price of Rs. 60. Free trial period of 30 days will also be there.
Talking to the media during the launch of the service, Kuldip Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, MTNL said that India is on way to high usage of Internet service and that will require more protection services to come up. This means that the market is still untapped and MTNL wants to make use of the opportunity.
He added that the customers will be attracted by the value-for-money that its service will provide. Besides that, the service will be very high level and will be using the DeepGuard technology of F-Secure.
