Music Maestro Rahman To Compose Tune For Karunanidhi’s PoemMusic maestro AR Rahman will create the theme song for the World Classic Tamil Conference (WCTC), which will take place in Coimbatore in June 2010.

The Oscar-winning musician Rahman met Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi, who had written the lyrics for the song, to talk over the song's tune.

Along with Karunanidhi and Rahman, the conference was also attended by CM's wife Rajathi Ammal, daughter and Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi, Deputy Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, well-known lyricist Javed Akhtar, singer Bombay Jayashree and chairman of Sun Television Network Kalanithi Maran, the sources said.

Rahman also expressed his pleasure to the CM on being chosen for a Padma Bhushan award.

The great musician told Karunanidhi, "I will be leaving for Los Angeles tonight to take part in Grammy proceedings."

Rahman's super hit track 'Jai Ho', which won him two Osars and a Golden Globe, has been selected in the category of 'Best Song' at the high-status Grammy awards. He has also been nominated in the group of Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

On this great achievement, Karunanidhi wished him luck and stated, "I am hopeful that you would bring home Grammy award too."
