NATO airstrike report delivered to German officials
Berlin - NATO has delivered a report on its investigation into an airstrike called in by a German officer in Afghanistan, highly placed military sources told the German Press Agency dpa.
The report was flown from Afghanistan to Germany and delivered late Wednesday to the Defence Ministry in Berlin.
The investigation was conducted into a strike by US aircraft, in response to a German request, against fuel tankers hijacked by Taliban insurgents. Afghan reports put the death toll at 69 Taliban and 30 civilians. (dpa)
