Netflix to include more independent filmsNetflix Inc. has entered into agreements with a number of distributors of independent films to make the media available to its members. The agreement will allow Netflix members to instantly watch hundreds of new independent titles in addition to the films already available through the Netflix service.

The agreement involves many distributors such as The Criterion Collection, Gravitas Ventures, Kino Lorber, Music Box Films, Oscilloscope Laboratories and Regent Releasing. The agreement will be a non exclusive one and will expand Netflix's reputation in the market as leading source of independent films.

The company said in a statement "In all, some 300 new independent titles can now be watched instantly or will become available to do so early next year."

Under the agreement, Netflix members are able to watch these movies and TV episodes which are streamed into their TVs and computers through Netflix for a monthly fee of $8.99 and they can also order DVDs to be delivered at home.
