Nintendo to launch new console at E3 on TuesdayJapanese Gaming major, Nintendo ahs confirmed reports that it will launch is new gaming console during its press conference on Tuesday at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.

The company said in April that it "will show a playable model of the new system and announce more specifications at the E3 Expo." According to data from Nielsen, the large number of Wii gamers is very interested in the new device.

Nielsen also noted that discussion on online platforms about E3 and the company's new console is considerably higher than last year, when Microsoft had released Kinect add-on for the Xbox 360. "Trended buzz shows a substantial increase in interest generated by rumors and confirmation of the new Nintendo console seven to five weeks pre-E3," Nielsen said.

Nintendo is set to release an update for the 3DS adding an Internet browser and an online store to the device. The users will be able to access the new updates from Monday. The users will be able to access the new browser as well as the new Nintendo eShop.

The Nintendo 3DS was released in the US on March 27 for $249.99 and since then the company ahs sold hundreds of thousands of the device. It hopes to further gear up interest and compete better with rivals including Sony and Microsoft.
