The number of swine flu cases in the country's national capital is on a rise.

On Friday, 118 suspected swine flu cases were reported from Delhi.

Confirming the development, Kiran Walia, Health Minister, Delhi, said: "Of the 118 identified swine flu cases, 68 are children and all of them have been quarantined."

Walia added that 2,393 cases, including 1,215 children, had been admitted in the government hospitals.

Out of these, 90 people had already been discharged from the hospitals.

The minister, however, said that the situation is under their control and the government will provide treatment to each H1N1 patient in the capital.

“I advise people to visit the doctor at the earliest if there is any symptom of swine flu,” added Walia.

Notably, the Indian capital has recorded nine swine flu deaths so far.
