Vitamin B3 cements brain after stroke

Brain-B3The preliminary research on rats depicts that, the doses of vitamin B3, best known as niacin helps recover the brain function after a stroke.

At Henry Ford Hospital, researchers discovered on the study based on rats, that the rats who suffered the induced ischemic strokes, depicted signs of growth in the blood vessel and new nerve cells in their brains after getting treated with vitamin B3.

The most common, Ischemic strokes occur when the blood vessels get choked and blood doesn't flow properly in the brain.

According to Henry Ford Health System, the hospitals are now conducting tests on vitamin B3 treatments on the patients suffering from stroke. If the test proves to be worth on human beings as well, then the treatment can actually benefit a low-cost, easily tolerable treatment for the most neurologically devastating conditions.
