Divya Does A Meena Kumari In Kaushik’s 'Chehre'
In today's technological world when black-and-white flicks are being changed into color, the Hindi film industry now also seems to be going the 'Schindler's List' way.
Of course, 'Chehre' will be one such movie to be produced in black-and-white completely.
The flick features multi-talented Divya Dutta sporting a look resembling that of yester year superstar Meena Kumari.
Directed by debutant Rohit Kaushik, 'Chehre' is a murder mystery and is set in the backdrop of 50's period.
The tales of the film revolves around lives of two sisters. The film is near completion and will be releasing shortly.
On this, Dutta said, "I am very excited about this movie. I have been a huge fan of stalwarts like Meena Kumari Ji and Nutan Ji. Playing a character based in 50's for a black and white movie was like stepping into their shoes. But I am glad that directors are coming up with innovative ideas and interesting subjects these days and are ready to experiment with the look of the film, as per the demands of script. When I heard that the film was not in colour and Black and White Instead, I was taken aback, but I immediately said yes as I knew it was one of its kind film."
The film is also a comeback for Manisha Koirala who will be seen in a pivotal character in the film. (With Inputs from Agencies)
