Computer Market on a Role in India
According to a market analyst, it has been revealed that the PC market in India has seen a boom in the second quarter statistics. The levels have gone up by 2.5% and this is a positive development at a time where everything is otherwise moving downwards in the global market scenario.
Dell has maintained its number one position in the race, though inflation seems almost perennial now and the high rates of interest.
It was further revealed that Acer, the firm from Taiwan, has moved upwards from its previous position to number 2.
The position was previously owned by Hewlett- Packard co. As for Infosys, it stands at the fifth spot right now with about 6.6% of the shares of the market.
The entire economy of the world has been jittery in these past few weeks. What seems to be a respite is that it has not taken a toll on the PC market so far.
"With the recent hike in commodity pricing such as fuel and food items, the cause of concern continues to exist in the Indian market”.
“However, we expect the market to perform far better in the coming quarter to do the festive season, which is considered as auspicious for buying”, said Vishal Tripathi, Principal Research Analyst at Gartner.
