New Delhi, May 7 : A group of youth activists from Pakistan, on a goodwill visit to India has said that such visits are important as they provide the young people of both sides a platform to interact and understand one another.

"The aim is to find some grounds between the young people of India and Pakistan where they can interact with each other to at least suggest some suggestions to the government of both the sides that young people want some good relations with the neighbours because we can change our enemies but we can't change our neighbours," said Bilavar Adwana, a Pakistani youth.

Youth delegates felt that such forums could help to reduce the tension between the two countries. They said that improving of relations between the two countries should not be restricted to negotiations at the political level but should be extended to the people-to-people level also.

"Youth is a very better representative of the mindset of the general community," said Binez, another Pakistani youth.

The delegation, during its five-day visit, is scheduled to visit Udaipur and Ahmedabad apart from New Delhi and interact with locals and students there. (ANI)
