Ocarina of Time debuts at number 2 spot in UK charts

Nintendo's The Legend of ZeldaNintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time game title has entered the UK video game chart at the number 2 spot.

According to data provided by GfK Chart-Track, the game has been purchased by 20 per cent of the handheld's user-base in its first two days on sale, boosting sales of the company’s 3DS gaming console.

Nintendo UK head David Yarnton said, “We generally find that summer time is a good time for handheld gaming and we have lots of sampling and summertime events to get more people hands on with it – that leads us nicely up to all that great content coming out.”

The new content includes Resident Evil: Mercenaries as well as September’s StarFox 3D, Kid Icarus plus two new Mario games: Mario Kart 3D and Super Mario. The Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D from Konami will arrive later in the year.
