One More Swine Flu Death In AP; Toll Reaches 256
One more swine flu case was reported from Hyderabad on Sunday, raising the total number of affected persons in Andhra Pradesh to 256.
According to the reports, a 25-year-old woman, Madhavi, who was undergoing flu treatment at a private hospital, breathed her last on Sunday.
The reports also said that the condition of four more patients is reported to be serious.
Considering deaths from swine flu, a conference of health officials has been called at Gandhi Hospital this morning.
The Chief Minister K.Rosaiah is likely to visit the hospital and interact with health functionaries.
As many as 3 H1N1 casualties were reported on Saturday. Of the 3 cases, 2 were from Hyderabad and one was from Mahaboobnagar region but settled here.
Since Saturday, health officials have came into action to put protective measures in place.
Hyderabad had reported India's first swine flu case on May 16.
But, the first swine flu death was reported on Sep 2. Two people lost their lives on the same day whereas two more died on Sep 5.
