Opposition walks out of TN assemblyChennai June17 : The entire opposition led by AIADMK staged a walk out from the Tamil Nadu assembly, after failing to raise the issue of alleged malpractice by the ruling DMK in the recently concluded elections.

After an obituary reference to the departed former members, Speaker Avudiappan wanted to take up the day''s business, but opposition parties wanted to raise the issue of alleged the use of money, muscle and government machinery by the ruling DMK to win the elections, the Speaker denied permission.

Opposition members indulged in sloganeering against the treasury benches led by deputy leader Panneerselvam, and later walked out of the house.

The CPI CPM, PMK and MDMK also tried to raise the issue, walked out.

Comedian turned politician S V Sekhar was the only opposition member who remained.(ANI)
