Pakistani Players Can Participate In IPL 4: Lalit ModiIPL commissioner Lalit Modi said that Pakistani cricketers can take part during the fourth season of the Indian Premier League.

Moreover, Mr. Modi also said that two new IPL teams would also be included in that event, after taking the number of participating teams to 10.

While talking to media, Mr. Modi stated that the two new franchisees would join the game by the coming season.

He also said that twelve cities were in debate, comprising four, which will host games during this year.

He said bids for the franchises could be collected from the Board of Control for India or IPL from Feb 21 and tenders would be opened on March 8 in Mumbai.

The cities in the frame include Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Kanpur, Dharamsala, Indore, Cuttack, Gwalior and Visakapatnam.

However, Lalit also pointed that Rajkot, Pune, Vadodara and Kochi, which are involved in constructing stadiums, might bid for IPL groups.

The new team franchises will be provided access to venues hosting matches in 2010 IPL with the intention to publicize themselves.
