Islamabad, Feb. 28: An overwhelming majority of the people believe that their vote would go a long way towards bringing stability to Pakistan.

According to the latest Gallup Pakistan exit polls, “Eighty percent expressed the hope that their vote would be helpful in improving the conditions of the country.”

“In 1990, it was seventy-three percent, in 1993 seventy-five percent, 1997 seventy percent and in 2008 eighty percent," the Daily Times reported Gallup Pakistan as saying further.

According to the exit polls findings, only 57 percent said the new government would complete its five-year term, 16 percent were convinced that the government would follow in the footsteps of the previous governments and be dismissed in less than five years while 27 percent were not sure about the fate of the next government.
