Los Angeles  - Actress Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, her co- star in the TV vampire series True Blood, are engaged, it was announced Wednesday.

Paquin, 27, who was nominated for a supporting-actress Oscar in 1994 for The Piano, plays a mortal, telepathic woman on the hit show. Moyer plays a vampire in the series.

The pair have been dating since February, which, Paquin revealed, made their love scenes on camera a lot easier.

"Obviously, if you're already with that person, then you're not having to sort of get over the 'Wow, I'm naked with someone that I don't even know the middle name of!' (dpa)
