Hollywood funny guy Adam Sandler isn’t the only wedding singer in action while the bride and groom exchange vows. He now has company in Delhi’s jazz, rock and fusion collectives. Seen as the new entertainers at the big, fat Indian weddings, Delhi-based music acts are now making hay while the moon shines.

Washington, Aug 25 : Adam Sandler has admitted that he did not like playing a foul-mouthed stand-up comic in upcoming movie ‘Funny People’, because being a dad of two girls, he felt "dirty" telling rude jokes.

The ‘Wedding Singer’ star began his career at comedy clubs while he was studying at New York University.

And that is when he was spotted by a talent scout, and was hired as a writer on hit U. S. show ‘Saturday Night Live’.

Washington, Aug 3 : `Funny People', starring Adam Sandler, has topped the weekend box office after raking in 23.4 million dollars.

According to studio estimates, `Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' came second with 17.7 million dollars.

`G-Force' landed the third spot with 17.1 million dollars while `The Ugly Truth' stood fourth with 13 million dollars.

`Aliens in the Attic' rounded off the top five with 7.8 million dollars, reports E! Online.

Wellington, July 25 : Adam Sandler has confessed that becoming a father has taken its toll on his sex drive.

"The Wedding Singer" star, who is father to three-year-old Sadie and second daughter Sunny, born last November, revealed he did not think about getting between the sheets upon seeing his wife Jacqueline Samantha Titone naked.

"I don''t see women as sexual beings anymore," the NZPA quoted him as telling US TV talk show host Conan O''Brien.

The film will also star Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Maya Rudolph and Colin Quinn, reports Variety magazine.

The story of the film revolves around five best friends from high school, who reunite 30 years later on a July 4 weekend.

Dennis Dugan is onboard to direct the picture, which is scheduled to begin filming in the summer.

Writer Robert Cabell turned to the Manhattan Federal court and filed legal papers against the ‘Reign Over Me’ star and chiefs at Happy Madison Productions, Sony and Columbia Pictures in New York.

Cabell alleged that Sandler''''s character Zohan, an Israeli hero who fakes his own death in order to pursue his dream of becoming a hairstylist in New York City, was lifted from his Hair-Raising Adventures of Jayms Blonde.

Washington, Nov 12 : Hollywood actor Adam Sandler and wife Jaclie Sandler welcomed their second daughter on November 2nd.

Adam, who has a 2-year-old daughter Sadie, 2, with wife Jackie, was delighted with the news.

"Jackie and Adam had a beautiful baby girl, Sunny Madeline on November 2,” People magazine quoted Adam, as stating on his website.

“Everyone is happy and healthy,” he added.

The funnyman had made the news of his wife’s pregnancy public on ‘The Tonight Show’ with Jay Leno in May. (ANI)
