Khiladi Kumar reaches Ahmedabad to promote 'Jolly LLB 2'

New Delhi, Feb 3. : After SRK, Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi were in Ahmedabad to take ahead the promotions of their movie Jolly LLB 2.

Speaking to the media at the promotions, Khiladi said that Gujarat has always been a very special place for him and he is the son-in-law of Ahmedabad.

The 43-year-old actor also opened up about his dream role.

He said, "My father used to narrate the tale of Akbar and Birbal, so when i heard the script of 'Jolly LLB 2' , I felt the character of Jolly is like Birbal, so i went for it".

Jolly LLB 2 is a satirical black comedy drama written and directed by Subhash Kapoor. The film which is a sequel to 2013 film Jolly LLB is scheduled to release on 10 February.

New Delhi [India], Jan. 28 : With the motive of helping the kin of slain Indian soldiers, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar met Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi at his North Block office here on Friday.

Kumar proposed the idea of creating a special mobile app to help the families of these soldiers financially.

According to Akshay's proposal, a mobile app can be developed that will allow donors to directly pay any amount into the verified bank account of any departed soldier's family.

Akshay also spoke about providing better aid to people of the paramilitary and police forces.

Reportedly, the 49-year-old actor spent nearly an hour at the North Block, wherein officials rushed to get a glimpse or selfie with the actor.

Khiladi Kumar took to his social media to share the first look poster of Subhash Kumar's movie and wrote alongside, "And here is the first look of #JollyLLB2 as promised. Ready to meet this Jolly good fellow on 10th Feb. 2017."

The poster, which reads 'The State vs Jolly LL.B 2', has the 'jolly good fellow' riding a scooter with a cheerful expression.

Set to release on February 10, the film also features Huma Qureshi, Saurabh Shukla, Arshad Warsi and Annu Kapoor.

On a related note, 'Jolly LLB 2' is a sequel to the 2013 courtroom comedy drama 'Jolly LLB' starring Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani in the lead roles. (ANI)

The first look of this film starring Taapsee and Akshay Kumar is out. She is seen wearing a traditional attire and Khiladi Kumar, who is said to play a cameo in the movie, can be seen in the backdrop of the poster.

Taapsee took to Twitter to share the look and wrote alongside, "Humne rumaal rakh diya hai!! #31stMarch2017 #NaamShabana"

Directed by Shivam Nair, the film is reportedly a prequel to the 2015-release 'Baby'. (ANI)

New Delhi [India], Nov. 21 : Bollywood star Akshay Kumar recently revealed the first look of Rajinikanth's '2.0' and it certainly gives you goose bumps.

In a never-before-seen avatar, Khiladi Kumar looks extremely scary in the poster donning a devilish look with the grey hairdo, creepy long black nails and sparkling yellow eyes.

"Evil has a new face! #2Point0 #3Diwali2017 #2Point0FLLaunch," the 'Airlift' actor captioned the post.

On a related note, ' 2.0' is the sequel to 2010 hit 'Enthiran' (Robot) starring the superstar Rajinikanth.

Directed by Shankar, the movie also stars Amy Jackson and is set to release during the Diwali 2017 weekend. (ANI)

Akshay Kumar's patriotism continues with 'Gold'- story of free India's first Olympic medal

New Delhi [India], Oct. 22 : Continuing his patriotic fervour post ' Airlift' and ' Rustom,' Akshay Kumar recently announced his upcoming venture 'Gold,' that depicts the story of India's first Olympic medal as a free nation.

The actor took to his Twitter handle to share the first look of the movie and wrote alongside, "Set in 1948, the historic story of India's first Olympic medal as a free nation, #GOLD coming to you on 15th August, 2018!"

Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment, 'Gold' will be Reema Kagti's third directorial venture, after 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.' and 'Talaash,' which will hit the screens on the 2018 Independence Day.

They too took to their respective Twitter handle to share the excitement.

For one of the songs in this Hindi remake of Tamil entertainer "Thuppakki", some sand had to be thrown in the air for effect. But the people who were responsible for throwing the sand ended up overdoing it as the instructions were being given in Hindi and they didn't understand it.

'Holiday' not a typical Akshay Kumar film: Akshay

He says the film's topic, which focuses on terrorism and sleeper cells, as well as real stunts sets it apart.

"'Holiday' is an amazing film on what terrorism is all about and how the army tries to capture the sleeper cells," Akshay, who has teamed up with Sonakshi Sinha for the fifth time in the movie, told IANS in an interview.

'Holiday' was enjoyable: Akshay

The film's trailer released online Wednesday and gave a sneak peek into the action packed thriller that also stars Sonakshi Sinha.

The "Khiladi" star reminisced his three years spent in the city and fondly recalled his love for football.
