Mumbai, April 25 : While Vipul Amrutlal Shah is busy writing "Namaste London" sequel, which he will start early in 2014, he continues his bonding with Akshay Kumar with "Commando 2".

Known to have worked with Akshay in a number of films like "Waqt: The Race Against Time" and "Singh Is Kinng", Shah decided to work with Vidyut Jamwal in action-packed "Commando". But for "Commando 2" he will collaborate with his favourite actor Akshay, but on a different level.

Currently shooting with Akshay, he plans to bring him into the sequel of "Commando" as a consultant and adviser.

Mumbai, April 11 : Actor Akshay Kumar felt lucky and blessed when he received a token of love from fans from Sholapur on the occasion of Gudi Padwa.

"Had a surprise visit from some fans from Sholapur (in Maharashtra) on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. These chance meetings always serve as subtle reminders about how lucky I am to be loved so much. Wishing them and you all, a Happy Gudi Padwa," the 45-year-old tweeted.

The actor, whose "Housefull 2", "Rowdy Rathore" and "Khiladi 786" made it to the Rs. 100 crore club, is looking forward to "Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2".(IANS)

Kolkata, April 4 :  Refuting rumours that his upcoming movie "Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Again" (OUATIMA) is based on the lives of two underworld dons - Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Rajan - Akshay Kumar said it is a fictional story with no real life characters.

"Let me correct you, we are not playing real life characters," said actor Akshay, who plays Shoaib Khan in the underworld drama, in which Imran Khan will be seen as Aslam.

Mumbai, March 4 : Ramesh Taurani has signed Akshay Kumar for two films and the Bollywood star will reportedly get Rs. 80 crore for the projects.

"Yes, we have signed Akshay Kumar for our next two films. The first will go on the floors in July first week and will be shot in Cape Town. The film will be co-directed by Sajid-Farhad, who were the dialogue writers for 'Bol Bachchan', 'Golmaal Returns', and 'Housefull 2'. It will be a comedy film," Ramesh Taurani of Tips told IANS.

"The second film will go on the floors in 2014. The director of the second film has not been decided yet," he added.

Mumbai, Jan 26 : Actor Akshay Kumar is delighted that his father-in-law, the late actor Rajesh Khanna, has been posthumously honoured with the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honour.

"I am really very happy. I am obliged that the government has recognised my father-in-law's work. I am extremely happy," said Akshay, who is married to Rajesh Khanna's elder daughter Twinkle.

The awards were announced Friday.

New Delhi, Jan. 23 : STAR Sports, Asia''s leading sports broadcaster, today announced a promotional tie-up with leading Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar for the first edition of Hockey India League (HIL).

Kumar, who is popularly known for his blockbuster Bollywood hits and hard hitting action roles, will be promoting the league through specially crafted promotional spots.

New Delhi, Jan 17 : Akshay Kumar was recently spotted singing live during the music release of his upcoming film `Special 26' in Mumbai.

The music launch was a gala event attended by the entire star cast of the movie and was held at Regal cinema.

Anupam Kher, who is also starring in the film, thanked Viacom 18 Motion Pictures for organizing the launch and creating a magic that he has been missing from so many years.

On the other hand, Kumar revealed that there are many twists and turns in the film and that he really enjoyed working in it.

Mumbai, Jan 3 : After a successful 2012, actor Akshay Kumar enters 2013 by shooting for the Hindi remake of Tamil action thriller "Thuppakki".

"Started shooting my first film in the New Year, the Hindi remake of 'Thuppakki'! Would love to get your good wishes today," Akshay tweeted Thursday.

For the Hindi remake, Akshay once again teams up with Sonakshi Sinha with whom he worked in "Joker" and "Rowdy Rathore".

The original was directed by A. R. Murugadoss, who wields the megaphone for the Hindi remake too.

Punjab is geared up to host the third Kabaddi World Cup championship at its multipurpose stadium in the dirtict of Bathinda from Saturday.

To add gleam to the inaugural ceremony of the World Cup Kabaddi Championship, the state government has invited Bollywood singer Himesh Reshammiya and actor Akshay Kumar.

Around twenty-three teams, including seven women kabaddi teams, will take part in the 14-day championship.
