Mumbai, Dec 16 : Akshay Kumar, who will participate in the Olympic Torch Relay Thursday in Toronto, keeps telling himself not to drop the torch.

"I just keep telling myself one thing over and over again, 'No matter what happens, Akshay, don't drop that torch. Naak kat jayegi.' It'd be so embarrassing. I'd never be allowed to come back to Canada," Akshay told IANS before leaving for Toronto.

Akshay was busy shooting for Priyadarshan's "Khatta Meetha" and had to take permission from him to attend the gala event.

Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan is working on her upcoming film 'Tees Maar Khan' in which she has roped in Akshay Kumar instead of Shahrukh Khan.

There are reports that Farah will give Akki a very trendy and exciting look in her film.

Ace Bollywood designer Aki Narula is working on actor's outfits and some international make-up artists and hairstylists will be doing Akki's dressing.

Hitting the Indian screens today, November 27, is the latest Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer 'De Dana Dan' - a film which is yet another slapstick comedy, directed by Priyadarshan.

The story of the film revolves around a debt-ridden driver Nitin Bankar (Akshay Kumar), and a courier boy, Ram Mishra (Sunil Shetty). Both of them, though poor, are lucky in love - their rich girlfriends respectively being Anjali (Katrina Kaif), and Manpreet (Sameera Reddy).

New Delhi, Nov 25: Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is down with jaundice and missing from the promotions for her latest outing "De Dana Dan". And her co-star Akshay Kumar was prompt in wishing her speedy recovery.

Rumours were rife that the actress was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai Monday night, where she was diagnosed with jaundice and has been advised complete bed rest for a while.

Asked if it were true, Akshay said: "Katrina is down with jaundice... We are missing her and hope she gets well soon."

'De Dana Dan' is igniting the heat and it is obvious that the last minute promotional blitzkrieg is helping the film's cause. While Akshay Kumar and other cast members of this Priyadarshan directed film are going all out to ensure that 'De Dana Dan' reaches out to it's target audiences, the actor is also keeping himself abreast of movies that his contemporaries are doing.

Mumbai, Oct 16 - Akshay Kumar is tired of replying to queries about his so-called rivalry with "Blue" co-star Sanjay Dutt. Setting the record straight, he says this is a figment of someone's imagination and they don't have any problems whatsoever with each other.

"Please, in this forum, let me state this for perhaps the last time ever - 'There are no problems between Sanjay Dutt and me," Akshay told IANS.

Since the shooting of "Blue" commenced around a year ago, there was talk of tension between the two stars.

Actor Akshay Kumar has been bestowed with the highest Japanese honour for his longtime association with marital arts.

This will be Akshay’s first romantic film in three years, after Humko Deewana Kar Gaye in 2006. The lead actress of the film is yet to be decided upon.
