Hertha Berlin's Voronin banned and fined over red card offenceHamburg  - Hertha Berlin striker Andrey Voronin was banned for three Bundesliga matches and fined 10,000 euros (13,300 dollars) by the ruling body DFB on Wednesday over a red-card offence.

Voronin lost his temper in the 89th minute of Hertha's 2-0 league defeat at Hanover 96 on Saturday. He was dismissed for a foul on Hanover Leon Andreasen and then kicked the ball at Andreasen in disgust about the red card.

Champions Bayern Munich came from behind to thrash visiting Hanover 5-1 and are one of four teams level on 42 points, four behind Hertha.

Hoffenheim who fought out a goalless draw with visiting Werder Bremen, are joint second with Bayern, while Wolfsburg are fourth thanks to a 1-0 win over Karlsruhe.
