NTR to resume shooting from July 1

Young hero NT Rama Rao, who was injured while returning from election campaign some time ago, completely recovered from illness and is all set to resume shooting. He is most likely to participate in the latest schedule of his film under the direction of VV Vinayak from July 1.
The film unit is making efforts to complete the film at galloping speed. Nayanatara and Sheela are pairing up with NTR in this movie being presented by Kodali Nani and produced by Vallabhaneni Vamsi on the banner of Vaishnavi Arts. Devisri Prasad is scoring music, while Chota K Naidu is wielding the camera.
Hotel Leela inks pact with Preferred Hotel

The company entered into this agreement with the aim to increase its brand awareness, reservations and yield via the American firm’s 29 global sales offices.
With the proposed contract, the company is expecting more business customers from the US corporate world.
The alliance will also give Leela access to Preferred Hotel's travel managers in the US, Singapore and Australia.
Fat-rich junk food may alter genes linked with type II diabetes

London, September 8 : A team of scientists in Sweden have warned that gorging too much on fat-rich junk food may cause drastic changes to a gene that helps muscle cells burn fat.
Juleen Zierath, of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, says that her team''s findings may help improve the scientific understanding of how type II diabetes develops in adulthood.
"Somehow, the environment plays on the genes we have," says the lead researcher, adding that her study provides new clues to how this happens.

Zurich- The global television rights sale for the 2010 football World Cup has been completed ahead of schedule with a deal in Nigeria, the governing body FIFA said on Wednesday.
FIFA said in a statement that a contract with the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON) will ensure free-to-air TV coverage and radio broadcasts of all 64 World Cup games in South Africa.
World Cup organizing committee chief Danny Jordaan welcomed the announcement as "another major milestone" which was completed "well ahead of schedule.
Cellphones may soon revolutionize classroom studies

The new device, called Activexpression, enables teachers to ask questions on the board through a computer, and students can then text their answer through their Activexpression cellphone.
The software immediately produces a graph or chart on the board displaying the students'' answers, allowing teachers to gauge the class''s understanding at a glance.
A Southland Girls'' High School class has already started using the technology.

Lucknow, Oct 8 : Family members of 21-year-old Japanese Kota Shinozaki, who went missing from Agra three years ago, Thursday met Uttar Pradesh Governor and police chief Karamveer Singh here Thursday to seek help in tracing him.
Shinozaki is missing since Sep 5, 2006 when he reached Agra and checked in at the Chanakya hotel there.
"We met the governor and the director general of police and requested them to re-investigate the case in which the Agra police has already filed a charge sheet," his mother Eiko Shinozaki, told media persons in Lucknow.

After eminent journalist H K Dua took oath as Rajya Sabha member, the opposition rushed into the Well of the House and forced an adjournment.
Later, when the house was reconvened, the opposition again raised the sugarcane pricing issue and demanded suspension of Question Hour to discuss the issue.

New York, May 12 : American actress Farrah Fawcett, who calls herself to be a very private person, says that she would prefer that her battle with cancer was not made public.
Fawcett, 62, who yearns for privacy, spoke to Los Angeles Times reporter Charles Ornstein about her terminal condition, and the ordeal of constantly being scrutinised.
"It's much easier to go through something and deal with it without being under a microscope," the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.

Canberra (Australia), Apr. 29 (ANI): Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has announced that his government will send 450 extra troops to beef up security in troubled Afghanistan.
However, there will be no combat troops among the latest contingent. The extra troops will assist in military training, governance and reconstruction, Rudd said, adding "Australia concurs with the United States that the current civilian and military strategy is not working."

New Delhi, Dec 4 : Commander of the US Pacific Command Admiral Robert F. Willard Friday praised India's humanitarian role in Afghanistan said it is for New Delhi to take a decision on its military deployment in the war-torn country.
"We have not sought any ground level cooperation (deployment) from India. We are happy with India's re-building role in Afghanistan," Willard told reporters here.
"It (deployment of Indian troops in Afghanistan) is for Indian military and establishment to decide," he added.

Tel Aviv - Prime Minister Ehud Olmert congratulated Tzipi Livni on her projected victory in Wednesday's primary for Israel's ruling Kadima party.
