The Calcutta High Court on Friday directed the superintendent of Presidency jail to provide a complete report on the medical condition of Todi report before Monday, when the bail appeal would be heard again.

Ashok Todi was admitted to the jail hospital since he was remanded to judicial custody by a city court on December 1 following his surrender on a Supreme Court directive.

The Apex Court of India has directed Ashok Todi, prime accused in the Rizwanur Rehman murder case, to surrender by December 1.

The SC has also stayed his arrest till the surrender deadline.

CBI had filed charge sheet against Industrialist Ashok Todi, along with six others for alleged abetment of suicide of his son-in-law Rizwan.

A Metropolitan Magistrate in Kolkata had asked him and other accused to appear before it on October 27. But he failed to abide by the order and a NBW was issued against him.

Todi moved to Supreme Court challenging the order of the Kolkata court on Nov 7.
