Bangalore, Jan 23 - Fifty percent tax will be exempted for superstar Amitabh Bachchan's film "Paa" as it has created public awareness on the disease progeria, Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa said Saturday.

'Paa' is a message oriented film. Big B has invited all members of the legislative council and assembly to view it, Yeddyurappa told reporters.

Yeddyurappa said he will see the film Thursday along with some cabinet ministers.

Amithabh arrived in Bangalore Saturday to promote his film "Rann", directed by Ram Gopal Varma, and meet Yeddyurappa and other ministers.

Deve Gowda Monday fired another shot at him, accusing him of colluding with Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise Limited (NICE) to deprive farmers of their agricultural lands.

Gowda made the allegation during an interaction with reporters in the Supreme Court premises after attending a hearing on a lawsuit of NICE for launch of the contempt of court proceedings against seven state government officials.

"Investigation is on," Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa told reporters responding to questions on the over two-year-old complaint by R. Yamini against D. K. Rangaswamy, who was at that time deputy commissioner of Bangalore Rural district.

The chief minister declined to elaborate on who is conducting the probe.

The chief minister said after inspecting the site for the cremation of the body of the 60-year-old actor that the memorial would be built in consultation with Vishnuvardhan's family members.

Addressing a public gathering here, Yeddyurappa said: “I have made a lot of compromises and changes to retain power and government, the expectation of people have been not made properly.”

Bangalore, Dec 13 -The Karnataka legislature begins its winter session Monday with the members and people keenly awaiting the promised 'bare all' from Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa on the allegations of illegal mining activity of his mining baron minister G. Janardhana Reddy.

The session is the first to be held after Yeddyurappa survived last month's revolt against him by Janardhana Reddy, his elder brother Revenue Minister G. Karunakara Reddy and their associate Health Minister B. Sriramulu.

The 10-day meeting is being held against the backdrop of raids by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Reddys' firm, Obulapuram Mining Company, to probe allegations of illegal mining activity.
