Telugu film actor Chiranjeevi will not make a return to the film world any time soon. According to earlier reports in the media, Chiranjeevi’s comeback project, to be produced by his son Ram Charan Teja, was scheduled to go on floors in the month of February this year. However, the possibility has been ruled out owing to the Telugu theater strikes which have highly affected the Tollywood industry. In a statement to the media, Chiranjeevi’s representatives have announced that the actor’s comeback project has been stalled and it will take a while for his fans to watch Chiranjeevi on-screen again.

Madhu of Leo Entertainments is well known for producing some of the biggest hits in the Telugu film industry. Madhu's recent list of blockbusters include names like Tagore, Stalin etc. Rumor has it that Madhu recently registered the title 'Adhinayakudu' with the Film Chamber.
It has been suggested that Madhu has decided to register this film keeping in view Chiru's return to the film industry for his 150th film. Madhu has close alliances with the renowned producer Allu Arvind and it goes without saying that the legendary producer will be financing this movie.

Hyderabad, Dec 17 : A week after the Centre''s decision to initiate the process for the formation of the Telangana State, actor-turned politician and Chief of the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) Chiranjeevi has resigned in support of a "United Andhra".
PRP has a total of 18 MLAs of which the majority is from the non-Telangana regions.
Chiranjeevi who made the announcement in favour of a united Andhra Pradesh was threatened with a split within the PRP.

Chiranjeevi, who represents Tirupati assembly constituency in Rayalaseema region, will announce his resignation in the temple town on Thursday and join the movement against the proposed division of Andhra Pradesh, PRP leader K. Vidyadhar Rao said.
The actor, who hails from coastal Andhra region, has done a volte-face on the issue of separate Telangana state and decided to join "samaikya Andhra" or United Andhra movement.

Hyderabad, Nov 18 : Cine star and founder of Prajarajyam Party Chiranjeevi had a narrow escape when electrical wires bust into flames over his head during a campaign rally here on Wednesday.
Chiranjeevi was holding a road show asking votes for his party candidates in the upcoming Hyderabad Municipal election when the incident occurred.
The mega star was traveling in an open-top truck when the vehicle passed under dangling wires. A party worker tried to lift the wires with a rod, triggering a shower of electrical sparks.

Hyderabad, Nov 2 : Serious differences have cropped up in the ruling Congress in Andhra Pradesh following its state chief's decision to forge an alliance with the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) of actor-cum-politician Chiranjeevi for the ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
A day after state Congress chief D. Srinivas said the party would have an alliance with the PRP, several ministers opposed it, saying the ruling party was strong enough to contest the elections on its own.

Hyderabad, Oct 25 : Actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) Sunday received another jolt when a key leader, K. S. R. Murthy, quit the party.
Murthy, a former MP who played a key role in the formation of the PRP last year, met the Congress party's state unit president D. Srinivas, setting the stage for his entry into the ruling Congress party.
Murthy later told reporters that he had faxed his resignation letter to PRP president Chiranjeevi. He also announced that he would be joining the Congress party on Nov 1.

Enthusiastic for the success of Chiranjeevi''s Party, 148 youngsters came forward at a special camp organized by the blood bank.

Hyderabad, Apr. 5 : Even before registering its maiden political success in General Elections, actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi hopes that his party may have a role in giving birth to a ''Fourth Front''.
"My feeling is that why should a fourth front not be formed at the Centre. Those parties which are opposed to the current formations can join hands with us to from the fourth front," Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) Chief Chiranjeevi said on Sunday.

Hyderabad, Apr 4 : Telugu superstar and Praja Rajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi on Saturday filed his nomination papers for the Tirupati Assembly seat in Andhra Pradesh.
His wife Surekha and son Ram Charan Tej accompanied him at the time he filed his nomination.
Chiranjeevi is also contesting from the Palkole Assembly seat in his native West Godavari district.
Earlier in the day, the actor and his wife Surekha declared their assets worth Rs. 88 crore.

Megastar Chiranjeevi is now contesting for the assembly from Tirupathi. He has decided to take a house on rent and stay there for some time. The reason is that he is being accused as an outsider by his political opponents.
So Chiranjeevi has taken a house on rent in the Khadi colony. The two-storied building has been taken on lease for a period of two months. The rent is one lakh rupees per month.

NTP, founded in July 2008, is the second Telangana-specific political outfit next only to Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) headed by K Chandrasekhara Rao. “PRP has similar views on Telangana. This merger would only further our fight to achieve a separate state,” Goud said. Goud was appointed PRP vice-president after the merger.
PRP, which is still in its infancy as the elections are round the corner, has been looking for a stronghold in the Telangana region. Though it had tried for an alliance with TRS, the process did not go beyond initial talks.

Hyderabad, Feb 22 (ANI): Around 3000 former naxalites will join the newly formed party Prajarajyam on February 24 in Hyderabad.
The maoists will formally join the party in the presence of Prajarajyam Party (PRP) Chief Chiranjeevi and Yuvarajyam President Pavan Kalyan.
The Marxist Leninist singer Gadar along with other pro-naxal intellectuals and actor Chiranjeevi have been repeatedly trying to mobilise the former rebels and bring them into PRP.

Yuvarajyam president and Chiranjeevi’s youngest brother Pawan Kalyan has tied the nuptial knot with his live-in companion of eight years, Renu Desai on Wednesday.
Pavan and Renu have a 5 year old son Akira Nandan. Renu had also worked with Pavan Kalyan in two Telugu movies ‘Badri’ and ‘Johnny’.
The marriage, which was performed as per Arya Samaj rituals, took place at Pavan’s house in the upmarket Jubilee Hills in the city.
