Melbourne, Nov 20 : Teen starlets Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart share a steamy snog in their new movie `The Runaways'.
"Yes, it happens in The Runaways," The Daily Telegraph quoted Fanning as telling Access Hollywood.
"It was passionate. We're playing Joan Jett and Cherie Curie and they're best friends in the film and became really close in real life. And that's something that went down back in the `70s.

Washington, Aug 24 : Dakota Fanning may play the lead in a sequel to The Wizard Of Oz, it has emerged.
According to reports, the 15-year-old is being tipped to take the lead in a follow-up to the classic 1939 movie that shot Judy Garland to fame, reports Contactmusic.
The original film was based on L. Frank Baum''s 1900 children''s book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
The film''s producer, Basil Iwanyk, says, "It will be set in the present day and feature Dorothy''s granddaughter."

New York, July 3 : Kristen Stewart will reportedly do a steamy bedroom scene with Dakota Fanning in the upcoming Joan Jett biopic `The Runaways.'
According to Life & Style, the `Twilight' starlet will try her hand at some girl on girl action in the movie.
According to a source, the script calls for Stewart, who plays Jett in the film, to swap spit with Fanning, who stars as singer Cherie Curie, resulting in their clothes being "scattered all over their hotel room floor in one scene."
Dakota Fanning ‘wont go bald to bag a role’

The role of the leukaemia-stricken teen was later played by Sofia Vassilieva in the 2004 film.
The 15-year-old was also suggested to have had issues with Vassilieva''s co- star, Abigail Breslin, reports the New York Post.
Fanning''s breakthrough performance was in I Am Sam in 2001.

London, March 9: Teen actress Dakota Fanning has been confirmed to star alongside Robert Pattinson in the sequel of the romantic-fantasy film ‘Twilight’.
Rumours were abuzz that the 14-year-old would play the role of Jane, a member of the Italian Volturi vampires.
The film’s producers have finally backed those reports by saying the ‘Hounddog’ star would indeed be cast a bloodsucking vampire in New Moon.
The shooting for the sequel is due to begin in Italy this year, reports the Daily Star.

The flick, aptly titled `The Runways', has already signed `Twilight' actress Kristen Stewart for the role of Joan Jett.

London, Feb 10 : After Harry Potter star Emma Watson, teen actress Dakota Fanning has vowed not to let her movie career stop her from pursuing a university education.
The 14-year-old star has already started preparing for university degree.
"I definitely want to go to college. I''ve always wanted to, so I definitely think that''s something I will do," the Daily Star quoted her as saying.
"(My parents) definitely support me in that and I''m lucky they supported me in going to a regular high school too, because I was home schooled before," she added.

Though confirmation is yet to arrive, the 14-year-old revealed that the reports were not unfounded, and that she would be thrilled to be a part of the project.
"Those reports are definitely not untrue, it is definitely a possibility," Fox News quoted her as telling Tarts.
"It is too soon to say it would be a sure thing, but I think it would be a fun opportunity for me," she added.

Melbourne, Nov 25 : Hollywood actress Dakota Fanning, 14, has defended her rape scene in forthcoming flick ‘Hounddog’, insisting its just acting.
The ‘I am Sam’ actress became defensive after there were many calls for her mother to be jailed on child pornography charges for letting Dakota depict the scene.
"It''s a movie and it''s called acting. What drew me to the film was that my character shows people that you can overcome adversity in life and it doesn''t define you,” the Herald Sun quoted Fanning, as saying.
