New Delhi, Sep 21 - Their personal chemistry may have gone a bit sour after their break-up, but Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will romance on the silver screen in Karan Johar's new production "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani".
It will be directed by Ayan Mukherjee of "Wake Up Sid" fame.

Court complaint against 'Dum Maro Dum' song

Jaipur, June 2 : A complaint has been filed in a court in Rajasthan's Jodhpur city against Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and makers of "Dum Maaro Dum" for an alleged indecent and obscene dance number in the Hindi film.
The movie's director Rohan Sippy, producer Ramesh Sippy and music director Pritam Chakraborty have been named in the complaint.
The complainant, Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Pal Road area in Jodhpur, some 330 km from state capital Jaipur, approached a metropolitan magistrate's court and filed the complaint against a song in the film Wednesday.

Mumbai, May 28: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is usually seen in glamorous roles like in "Housefull" and "Break Ke Baad", argues that it is a misconception such roles do not involve serious acting.
"It's a misconception that glamourous roles don't involve the actor to act. This is not true because in the West you have Julia Roberts doing really glamorous roles and you still notice her performance and notice how great she looks," Deepika told reporters here.
Deepika, Saif team up again for 'Cocktail'

Mumbai, May 17 : After "Aarakshan" and "Race 2", Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan will work together again for the latter's home production tentatively titled "Cocktail".
"Deepika and I are doing three movies together this year. It's not something we planned but it so happened. So now we have to make an effort to look different and act differently in each movie, which is a challenge and interesting in itself," Saif told reporters Monday.

Mumbai, April 22 : Deepika Padukone was embarrassed when she couldn't make a roti for a cooking scene in "Aarakshan", while her co-star Saif Ali Khan was amused and said it reminded him of a scene in "Kaalia" where Amitabh Bachchan helped Parveen Babi to make an egg.
While breezing through one of the most difficult scenes with the formidable Big B in "Aarakshan", Deepika froze when she had to make perfectly rounded rotis. Apparently she asked director Prakash Jha to change the menu, but he was adamant - rotis it would be for the actress.

Mumbai, March 9 : The title track of the film "Dum Maaro Dum" will be launched during the crucial India-South Africa match in Nagpur Saturday, but actress Deepika Padukone, who features in the song, will not perform at the event.
More than 45,000 people are expected to attend the match at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, so Sippy had requested Deepika if she could perform live? But the 25-year-old is unable to do as she is busy with the shooting of "Aarakshan" in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
