In an interview with Filmfare, the leggy lass talked about how ' xXx: Return of Xander Cage' came to her at a phase when she was looking for a solid challenge.
"Everyone's career is this one long and amazing journey. It's full of these exciting moments and what you make of these situations in life is what matters the most. As far as 'xXx' is concerned it came to me at a phase when I was looking for a solid challenge. The biggest challenge for me was moving out of my comfort zone," Deepika revealed.

New Delhi [India], Oct. 17 : Deepika Padukone, who is gearing up for her Hollywood debut in ' xXx: The Return of Xander Cage', recently revealed that she was allowed to flaunt her natural accent in the movie.
In a candid talk with Pinkvilla, the 30-year-old star expressed "great pride" in playing an Indian girl in the D. J. Caruso directed flick saying, "I get to be myself."
"That is one of the aspects that drew me to the script and attracted me to do this film, the fact that for once, I was allowed to be myself is fantastic. I was allowed to flaunt that I am Indian," she said.

In an open letter posted on Facebook in response to the potentially damaging article posted about her in a national daily, Padukone said, "When an actress's inner wear decides to do a "peek-a-boo", she most definitely did not step out with the intention to do so. So, instead of zooming in, circling it and pointing arrows at it, why don't we give her some 'respect' and let it go instead of making it 'headlines'".
Mumbai: Actress Deepika Padukone says director Farah Khan took very good care of her during the shoot of upcoming film 'Happy New Year' especially because of the heavy-weight star cast comprising Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
In 'Happy New Year', the 28-year-old actress is reuniting with Farah, who directed her debut movie 'Om Shanti Om' in 2007.
'Happy New Year' will hit theatres this Diwali, and Deepika is the only woman in the cast, which also stars Vivaan Shah, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani.
"During the shooting of 'Happy New Year' Farah gave me lots of attention because she knew that I am the only girl against four big actors," Deepika said.
New Delhi: Deepika Padukone's dialogue 'I am a virgin' in her upcoming quirky comedy 'Finding Fanny' has not gone down well with the Censor Board which has objected to the use of the 'virgin' word and has asked the film's makers to replace it.
The 28-year-old actress questioned the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for not being consistent in its guidelines as it gave a green signal to the word in the trailer of the film.

The final will be played between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
"(I am) Honoured to be UEFA's guest for the Champions League final in Lisbon. Looking forward to a competitive game of football with two of Europe's best teams," Deepika said in a statement.
