New York, November 11 : Edith Shain, the famed kissing nurse in the iconic 1945 Times Square photograph, recently got a smooch from another young man in New York, where she had arrived to serve as a grand marshal in Tuesday''s Veterans Day Parade.

Nick Mayo, 25, who plays sailor Richard West in the Lincoln Center production of ‘South Pacific’, was the man in uniform who gave the 90-year-old a long dip backstage.

The guys laughed and chatted with Shain, lifting her for a classic Broadway pose.

"We can do this all day," the New York Daily News quoted Victor Hawks, 32, who plays Stew Pot, as saying.

He said that it was really very wonderful to meet Shain.
