Washington, Dec 17 : Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the co-host of the daytime talk show `The View', was issued an apology by the White House after she complained of not receiving her usual invitation for the Christmas party there.
Hasselbeck, who is the conservative co-host of the show, had spoken about it during the live taping of the programme.
"Maybe I didn''t do enough for the Republican Party this year," Us magazine quoted her as saying on the show.
Making history, on 4th November Democrat Barack Obama became the 44th President of the United States. History was again made the morning after when Elisabeth Hasselbeck, co-host, longtime panelist of 'The View' - a five-woman talk show and a vocal support of Republican presidential hopeful John McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin, did not feel any outrage over Obama winning the election. When Joy Behar, her Democratic co-host asked: 'Are you saying I was right all along?', Hasselbeck not only smiled, she also gave Behar a fist bump.
New York, Oct 27: US vice-presidential hopeful Sarah Palin, along with guest campaigner Elisabeth Hasselbeck from "The View”, condemned criticism of the Alaska Governor’s 150,000 dollars fancy wardrobe as sexist.
The duo claimed that GOP vice presidential nominee’s spending on her wardrobe was too trivial an issue in front of the problems that had been haunting the country.
Palin argued that she was more at home in the bargain bins. She went to the extent of even itemising her accessories.
Speaking on the ABC daytime talk show on October 26, Hasselbeck introduced Palin and responded to the garment gab-fest by calling the clothes carping "deliberately sexist."
Washington, Sept 30 : Elisabeth Hasselbeck is reportedly very upset with her co-hosts on the talk show ‘The View’, Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, over the US presidential election.
A long-time staff member of the show is said to have revealed that The View creator Barbara Walters has called a “cooling off” meeting between the conservative Hasselbeck and the more liberal Goldberg and Behar.
This is not the first time that Hasselbeck has faced a political showdown with her co-host, but according to insiders, it was not as bad as the disagreement that had taken place with Rosie O''Donnell.
