Washington, Dec 4 : The man who wrote Elvis Presley''s hit ‘It''s Now Or Never’, Aaron Schroeder, has passed away at the age of 84.
The songwriter died on Tuesday after battling a rare form of dementia similar to Alzheimer''s disease, according to his spokesperson Dale Olson.
Schroeder wrote over 2,000 songs, including 17 songs for Presley - five of which shot to number one.

London, Nov 18 : Elvis Presley’s car—8.2-litre Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado—is being restored.
The owners of the car have already painted the seats to match the white paintwork.
“Hopefully we can get back to the soft original leather beneath all the dry and crispy paint and restore the original finish,” the Daily Star quoted Max Tait, of Northumbrian Leather, Newcastle, as saying.
The King of Rock ''n'' Roll died at the age of 42, owing to health problems, prescription drug dependence, and other factors. (ANI)

London, November 9 : A strand of hair Elvis Presley’s hair saved by his barber will soon be up for grabs at an auction.
Homer Gill Gilleland, who trotted the globe with the King of Rock n Roll for more than 20 years, gave the precious lock to Thomas Morgan Jnr in 2002, reports the Daily Star.
The strand is expected to fetch more than 250 dollars when it goes under the hammer at Henry Alderidge and Son in Devizes, Wilts, on November 14.
Other Elvis memorabila, including a dessert plate owned and used by the star, will also go on sale.

London, Oct 19 : A large tuft of Elvis Presley''s hair, bought by a devoted fan for 18,300 dollars, was among 150 items that went under the hammer at Chicago''s Leslie Hindman auctioneers.
The hair is believed to have been cut from the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s head when he joined the army.
According to auction house, Presley’s red ultrasuede shirt sold out at a whopping 34,000 dollars, and a monogrammed cream-colored shirt was auctioned at 62,000 dollars, reports the Telegraph.

New York - A lock of Elvis Presley's hair sold for 15,000 dollars to an anonymous telephone bidder at a Chicago auction on Sunday, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The hair was shorn from Elvis' head when he joined the US Army in 1958.
The locks were part of an Elvis memorabilia collection offered by Leslie Hindman auctioneers in Chicago. The collection, which belonged to former Presley fan club president Gary Pepper, includes stage clothes, records and Christmas cards.

Los Angeles - A lock of hair that was shorn from the head of Elvis Presley when he joined the US Army in 1958 is going up for auction.
The locks are part of an Elvis memorabilia collection being offered by Leslie Hindman auctioneers on Sunday in Chicago. The collection, which belonged to former Presley fan club president Gary Pepper, includes stage clothes, records and Christmas cards.
Pepper died in 1980 and left the collection to his nurse, who is now putting it up for sale. Estimates put the sale price of the hair at between 8,000 and 12,000 dollars. (dpa)

London, October 08 : Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie has dismissed rumours that her teenage son is set to kick off his music career.
It was earlier reported that the King''s 17-year-old grandson Ben had signed a 3.3-million-pound record deal with Universal Music.
In fact it was speculated that he would release up to five discs, reports the Daily Star.
Moreover, he was even quoted as saying he doesn''t want his tracks to be compared to his legendary grandfather.

Washington, October 08 : A clump of Elvis Presley’s hair will soon be auctioned and is expected to fetch up to 12,000 dollars.
A friend of The King of Rock ''n'' Roll had preserved the locks since 1958 after Presley enlisted in the U. S. Army, Contactmusic reports.
Apart from the hair, a collection of Elvis memorabilia that will be put up for sale includes signed records, photos and clothing.

London, Oct 7 : Benjamin Presley, grandson of American Rock 'n' Roll star Elvis Presley, has landed a record deal worth $5 million with Universal. The teenager says his compositions will be different from his grandpa's music.
The 16-year-old, son of Elvis' daughter Lisa Marie Presley and musician Danny Keough, has landed a five-album contract with Universal and has already started work on his first record, which he hopes to release next year.

Washington, September 15 : Rock ''n'' roll legend Elvis Presley's former bodyguard is all set to reveal how his life used to be during his time with the tragic entertainer in a new biopic.
Sonny West will talk about Presley's sensational rise to fame, his tragic demise, and struggle with drug addiction in feature-length film `Fame and Fortune'.
He will be a co-writer and co-producer of the film, reports Contactmusic.
According to Daily Variety, he has signed a deal with Toronto-based film company RLF Victor Productions in this regard.

Rare items of showbiz memorabilia will be auctioned in June at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

New York, Mar 17 : The trademark blue-and-gold jumpsuit and matching cape that King of Rock `n' Roll Elvis Presley wore at his 1972 concert in New York is up for grabs at an online auction.
After the concert, Elvis had given the jumpsuit to legendary songwriter Joyce (Dottie) Rambo, who wrote many tunes for the King, as her birthday gift.
Rambo was killed in a tour bus accident last year.
The Elvis' memorabilia was discovered by Rambo's daughter Pete Siegel, who has put them up for sale on auction site Gotta Have It!

According to The Sun, Presley fanatic Ricky, 30, is aiming to wear his Elvis jumpsuit - in the sky blue colours of his beloved Manchester City - when he weds sweetheart Jennifer Dooley.
He proposed on Valentine's Day, and a date has yet to be set.
But a pal of The Hitman said: "He wants the jumpsuit and an Elvis impersonator doing the ceremony.

London, February 25: Welsh singer-songwriter Sir Tom Jones has revealed that Elvis Presley once sang for him while the former was naked in the shower.
Tom said that it happened when the `All Shook Up' star had come to see him perform, and he was getting ready for the show in Las Vegas.
The 68-year-old said that Elvis, who died in 1977, said he had a tune he wanted to sing to him.
"He couldn't wait. I was in the shower and I could hear Elvis Presley singing," the Sun quoted him as saying.

Presley was a big fan of Jones'' and they would always hang out together when on tour in the same city, however when they were in Las Vegas, the King did something that left Jones feeling a little embarrassed.
“When we played Vegas together, when he''d finish his shows and I''d still be there, he''d come to my shows. He''d always be there,” the Daily Express quoted him as telling U. K. chatshow host Graham Norton.
