Jaspal Bhatti to set up 'corruption temple' in Delhi

Chandigarh, April 7 : Comedian Jaspal Bhatti plans to set up a temple of corruption in New Delhi's Jantar Mantar area, where social activist Anna Hazare is on a fast-unto-death, to highlight the prevalence of graft in the Indian society.
Taking a cue from Hazare's anti-corruption campaign, Bhatti, who has himself enacted in several satires and street plays on the theme of corruption, said he would install the idol of a 'corruption god' at Jantar Mantar Friday.

Chandigarh, Nov 29 : Stand up comedian; Jaspal Bhatti used the platform of a carnival here on Saturday (November 28) to poke fun at the government''''s failure to control inflation.
Bhatti set up a stall at the Chandigarh Carnival displaying the vegetables, pulses and vegetable oil and invited the onlookers to throw rings around them and win the costly items as prizes.

After a long weary day at work, viewers can now revitalize with SAB TV at Ten. SAB Channel is coming up with three new shows and also a popular show FIR at ten.
‘Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai’, ‘Sonu-Sweety’, ‘Thank you Jijaji’ and ‘FIR’ are the shows that will be aired at ten on week-days from Monday to Thursday. This development will be put into action 3rd August onwards. SAB TV, recently shot the promos for the same.

Amritsar, March 18 : At a time when all political parties are announcing their lists of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the recently formed party of popular satirist and comedian Jaspal Bhatti has also announced its candidate.
Jaspal Bhatti has announced "Ghulle Shah" (comedian) alias Surinder Farishta, as the candidate of his Recession Party for Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

Chandigarh, Nov.23 : Jaspal Bhatti is today known as one of the most popular characters of Indian small screen with his famous serials “Ulta Pulta” and “Flop Show” showcasing an impressive sense of humour mixed with satire on daily life.
An engineer-turned-showman, Bhatti gained popularity at a time when most people would watch television for movies or national news. No cable television technology was available at that time.
Most of his productions are spoofs ridiculing corruption in society. We call this satirist, actor and director "the achiever".
