Former Germany goalkeeper Jens LehmannStuttgart  - Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is expected to be back in goal for VfB Stuttgart at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday after a match suspension by his club.

Lehmann had been suspended for Stuttgart's midweek cup match at third division Luebeck for disciplinary reasons after he failed to inform the Bundesliga club about a visit to the Munich beer festival.

"Jens has accepted that he did not set a good example. For us the matter is now over," Stuttgart general manager Horst Heldt said Thursday.

The 39-year-old VfB Stuttgart keeper told Germany's Sat. 1 television that he was looking forward to a life outside of the game.

In the interview to be broadcast Tuesday ahead of Stuttgart's Champions League play-off at Timisoara, Lehmann said: "Yes, it's enough. It's time to do something else."

Lehmann, who joined Stuttgart from Arsenal before the previous season, signed a one-year extension to his contract before the start of the new campaign.

Jens LehmannHamburg - Former Germany keeper Jens Lehmann has expressed "surprise" at being accused of unsporting behaviour by Hoffenheim coach Ralf Rangnick for throwing an opponent's boot away.

Striker Sejad Salihovic's boot came off at the feet of Stuttgart's Lehmann 20 metres from goal in Saturday's 3-3 Bundesliga draw. Instead of handing it back, the keeper threw it over his shoulder.

The Bosnia forward had to retrieve the shoe from the roof of the net where it had landed. Rangnick said Lehmann's action was "highly unsporting."

The former Germany international defender Babbel has led Stuttgart to wins in both matches since succeeding the sacked Armin Veh a fortnight ago. Babbel, who was an assistant to Veh, has initially been made interim coach.

On Saturday he comes up against Bayern Munich, one of his former clubs, in the last day of the Bundesliga season before the winter break.

The German Football Federation (DFB) said its control panel would be investigating both Borussia Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp and Werder Bremen striker Claudio Pizarro following incidents in the weekend's Bundesliga matches.
