New Delhi, Dec 18 : Pop star Lily Allen has revealed that she will retire from her music career as soon as she gets married.

When inquired whether she would be performing after 40 years or not, she said: "No. Absolutely my idea of hell. My worst nightmare! I want to have children and live in the countryside. Sorry - boring I know," reports China Daily.

"I''m retiring when someone marries me and I have children," Allen said.

Washington, Dec 18 : British pop star Lily Allen has revealed why she recorded her own version of Britney Spears' latest hit song `Womanizer'-because she simply loves the `Toxic' star.

The `Smile' singer recently recorded her own version of Spears'' single and passed it on to her pal Mark Ronson, who aired the record on his weekly New York show "Authentic S--" on December 12.

Since then, fans have copied the track and posted it online, much to the annoyance of bosses at Allen''s EMI record label.

London, Dec 17 : Pop star Lily Allen recently admitted that her BBC show called `Lily Allen and Friends' was a major flop.

The singer revealed that although the show was badly panned by the critics, it helped her make a lot of money.

"It was a period when I decided not to be a singer or go on tour," the Sun quoted Allen, as saying.

"I made a lot of money out of it. Thank you, licence-payers - that was very nice of you. You think Russell Brand is your problem. Actually, it's me," Allen added.

New York, December 9 : Singer Lily Allen has said that she has been trying to sober up after having had had a string of drunken public instances.

The Brit songwriter, who had to be carried out of the Glamour Women of the Year Awards by her brother in June because she had had too much to drink, said that she had stayed away from the bottle since September this year.

Allen had further told Elton John onstage to "F--- off," while she was under the influence of champagne at the U. K. GQ Men of the Year Awards in September.

The Brit pop star revealed that the duo had met in February to stir up ideas for their track, but after struggling with a long hard session, they had decided to call it quits for the day.

Washington, Dec8 : Popstar Lily Allen has spoken in defense of Amy Winehouse, insisting there is a "clever and witty" side to the singer that the public fails to see.

Lily said that the singer might be battling her drug addiction but can hold herself together.

"I know Amy Winehouse very well and she is very different to what people portray her as being,” Contactmusic quoted Lily, as saying.

"Yes, she does get out of her mind on drugs sometimes, but she is also a very clever, intelligent, witty, funny person who can hold it together. You just don''t see that side. She gets a really hard time,” Lily added.
