Sharif would talk to India if Mumbai like attacks took place in Pakistan

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Lahore, Apr. 12 : While India has taken a tough stance scrapping all bilateral talks with Pakistan in the wake of the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks ,former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that he would have initiated talks with the neighbouring country if such an incident had occurred on his own soil.

Nawaz says PML-N has no plans to join PPP at centreIslamabad, Apr. 8 : Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief, Nawaz Sharif, has said that his party has no immediate plans to join President Asif Ali Zardari-led Pakistan People's Party at the center.

"We have no plans to join the PPP-led government in the Centre," Sharif told reporters after his meeting with US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke and Chairman of US Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen in Islamabad.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawyer, Arshad Khan Jadoon, said that three miscellaneous applications were filed by the PML-N seeking certified copies of the judgment by an anti-terrorism court (ATC-I) for Karachi division.

Nawaz seeks national consensus against terrorism

PML-N chief Nawaz SharifLahore, Apr. 7: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said that terror acts were causing instability in the country, and has sought a national consensus on the issue.

According to a private TV channel, Nawaz told French Ambassador to Pakistan, Daniel Jouanneau, in Raiwind that Pakistan was still in the process of building a consensus on the war on terror.

“The war against terrorism will continue in line with national interests,” the Daily Times quoted him, as saying.
