Hilton was devastated when thieves targeted her mansion and got away with an estimated $2 million worth of gems last year.

Melbourne, November 9 : Paris Hilton has threatened to slap legal papers to a New Zealand company that showed her picture with the word "vacant" written across it in an advertisement.

Her manager Jamie Freed said Media5 used the image without permission and may expect a lawsuit, reports the Herald Sun.

Media5''s Adam McGregor said the organisation was only having a "bit of fun" with the billboard and that they were not trying to offend anyone.

Wellington  - Paris Hilton's Los Angeles-based manager has threatened legal action against a New Zealand publicity company that is wooing advertisers to its empty billboards with a photo of the hotel heiress and the word "Vacant" below her face, a newspaper reported Sunday.

Manger Jamie Freed told the Sunday Star-Times that the company, Media5, did not have permission to use Hilton's image and they could expect to hear from Hilton's lawyers.

The hotel heiress was burglarised last year of an estimated 2 million dollars.

"Paris went to the police station last night to retrieve her stolen belongings," People quoted her publicist Dawn Miller as saying.

"She didn''t get everything but fortunately most of her jewellery was returned. She is really pleased and thankful to the LAPD for their help," the rep added.
