Washington, May 28 : ER star Parminder Nagra is going to paint her child's room blue, for the actress and her husband, photographer James Stenson, have welcomed son Kai David Singh Stenson.

The happy news has been confirmed by a rep for the actress.

"Mother, daddy, and baby are all doing great," People quoted the rep, as saying.

The child was born on May 19.

After Nagra's pregnancy reports emerged, producers of the NBC medical drama decided to incorporate her pregnancy in some final episodes.

All this while Indian-origin actress Parminder Nagra seemed to be stuck to her South Asian roots.

The ‘Bend it like Beckham’, star has changed though and has recently filmed her first nude scene. She’s shot the scene with Emmy Award winning actor Ray Winstone for her upcoming TV film ‘Compulsion’.

It’s about Nagra's character Anjika Indrani who takes her employee Don Flowers' (Ray Winstone) help to escape an arranged marriage. However during the process, things go topsy turvy when Anjika and Don hopelessly fall in love. The film is slated to air on ITV1 on May 4.

Washington, May 1 : `Bend It Like Beckham' star Parminder Nagra had to face the music from her parents after she refused to agree to an arranged marriage at 18.

The 33-year-old revealed her parents had shown her a picture of a suitor, telling him to consider him as her future husband, a thought that did not go very well with the actress.

"When I was 18 my mother gave me a photo of a man and said I''d marry him," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

The actress wants to take the break when the medical drama, E. R., comes to an end this May, as she wants to dedicate her time to becoming a first-time mum.

The British actress married longterm partner Stenson on the17th Jan 2009 in an intimate ceremony in the Hollywood Hills, and will deliver her 1st child later this year.
