Lahm and Toni face sanctions at troubled Bayern Munich

Munich - Italy striker Luca Toni and Germany defender Philipp Lahm can expect to be disciplined by Bayern Munich amid media reports of a "crisis" at Germany's most successful Bundesliga club.
A newspaper interview by Lahm highly critical of transfer policies has left the club management seething, while Toni left the stadium Saturday after being substituted at half-time against Schalke 04.
German media Sunday said both can expect stiff fines or even suspensions and agreed that Bayern - eighth in the league and facing elimination from the Champions League - are in a sporting crisis.

Munich - Bayern Munich defender Philipp Lahm called Monday for patience as Germany's record champions attempt to take on board new coach Louis van Gaal's tactical ideas.
Bayern have got off to their worst Bundesliga start for 43 years, and after sliding to a 2-1 defeat to promoted Mainz on Saturday now face champions Wolfsburg in the Allianz Arena on Saturday.
"We knew it could be a bumpy start - and that's what we've now got," acting captain Lahm said.
The Germany defender said it would take time to adjust to van Gaal's tactics.
Lahm and Schweinsteiger set for Munich return

Munich - Germany players Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philipp Lahm are set to return from injuries into the Bayern Munich lineup for Saturday's Bundesliga match at Borussia Moenchengladbach.
The midfielder Schweinsteiger resumed training on Wednesday after missing last weekend's 2-1 win at Schalke 04 with a bruised shinbone. The left back Lahm is also back, from a four-week absence due to a foot fracture.
Munich have won their last five league matches and the champions are now just one point behind the leading due of Bayer Leverkusen and TSG Hoffenheim. (dpa)
