Prakash Raj honoured with National Award

The 55th National Awards ceremony was held yesterday at New Delhi. Actor Prakash Raj, Priyadarshan were honoured by Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, President of India.
Prakash Raj was honoured as ‘Best Actor’ for his awe-inspiring performance in offbeat film ‘Kanchivaram’ while Priyadarshan was awarded as ‘Best Filmmaker’ for the same film. Music director Shankar Mahadevan bagged ‘Best Male playback singer’ for his enchanting song ‘Maa’ of ‘Taare Zameen Par’.
Prakash Raj makes Bollywood Debut with ‘Wanted’

Prakash Raj, a noted South Indian actor, has started his bollywood career by playing a negative role as ‘Gani Bhai’ in ‘Wanted’. The actor has so far won three National awards, and 17 State awards.
Recently, he won the National Award for best actor for his brilliant performance in ‘Kanchivaram’, and this week he struck the audiences with his performance in Wanted.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan played lead role in ‘Wanted’, while actor Prakash Raj played the role of a villain.
‘Akasamanta’ to hit screen on March 27th

Shooting of a film with Prakash Raj and Trisha playing the father and daughter in `Akasamanta' produced by Dil Raju on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations with Radhamohan wielding the megaphone.
Presently post-production works are in progress. The producer says, `We are planning to launch the audio very soon and release the film on March 27 as Ugadi gift. In fact it is the narration of a 20 years of life history. The performance of Prakash Raj and Trisha is extraordinary. Jagapatibabu played a special role in the movie.' Prakash Raj says, `The film discussed in detail about the human relations.
