London, August 10 : Princess Beatrice of York reportedly celebrated her 21st birthday at a friend''s house in Spain after the Queen was said to have endorsed “recession restraint”.
The elder daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York, was allegedly happy to mark the occasion without a big bash.
"Bea was aware of how a big party would look in the current climate," the Telegraph quoted one of her close friends as saying.

London, Feb 26 (ANI): Princess Beatrice has been voted Britain's top lesbian pin-up.
The 20-year-old flame-haired beauty won a third of the vote from lady-loving females.
The poll for dating website gay-parship. co. uk placed Peaches Geldof on second position while Sienna Miller on third.
"The young, attractive and cosmopolitan Princess Beatrice will be delighted to have secured such heart-felt support from single British lesbians," the Daily Star quoted website spokesman Adrian Gillan as saying.
Princess Beatrice’s bodyguard facing disciplinary action after car theft

London, Jan 9 : Princess Beatrice's police bodyguard was left red-faced after her prized BMW was stolen while he was on duty.
The bodyguard is facing disciplinary action for failing to check that the Princess had removed her keys and locked the car doors before going into a shop for a sandwich.
The investigation is still under way, and the police have still not been able to locate the 1 Series BMW that was stolen in London's West End.
Beatrice, 20, told friends she was hugely embarrassed, but courtiers are questioning why her protection officer missed her mistake.
