Melbourne, Nov 20 : Barbadian singer Rihanna has been selected to be the face of Gucci for its latest TV handbag ad.
Gucci creative director Frida Giannini has revealed that Rihanna has been chosen because of her fresh look.
“I wanted Rihanna on board with this project because she''s so young, so modern, and so iconic,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Giannini as having told , JustJared. com.
Rihanna also added her own views about the brand and their work with UNICEF.

The ‘Umbrella’ singer was scheduled to perform in front of a sold-out crowd in the Indonesian capital Jakarta on Nov 14, but cancelled the gig amid concerns about her safety.
The Bajan beauty’s decision to axe the gig came in line with Aussie government’s travel advisory issued on Nov 10, which warned its citizens to avoid Indonesia.
