Washington, Dec 9 : FBI director Robert Mueller is in Chicago for a briefing on the case of Pakistani-American terror suspect David Coleman Headley, who is due to appear in a court later in the day to respond to the charges he helped plan Mumbai terrorist attacks.
Mueller came to Chicago Wednesday morning for the briefing and is expected to leave afterward, Chicago Sun Times reported.
Son of a Pakistani diplomat and an American socialite mother, Headley, 49, is due to appear before US District Judge Harry Leinenweber for arraignment at 10:45 a. m.
(10:15 p. m. Indian Standard Time).

New Delhi, Nov 12 - Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) chief Robert Mueller will be visiting New Delhi next week to probe the India links of David Coleman Headley, the Pakistan born American national in custody in the US for allegedly plotting terror attacks.
Mueller, who will be heading a team of investigators days ahead of the first anniversary of the Nov 26 Mumbai terror strike, will probe Headley's network in India and also establish his links with the Pakistan based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), intelligence officials here said.

Cologne, Germany - Former German international ice hockey goalkeeper Robert Mueller has died, his former club announced on Friday.
Cologne Sharks said that Mueller had died on Thursday from a brain tumour. "We are very sad," Cologne official Thomas Eichin said.
Mueller played 127 games for the German national ice hockey team and participated at two Olympic Games and eight world championships.(dpa)

New Delhi - Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director Robert Mueller Tuesday discussed security and terrorism-related issues with Indian officials, particularly in the context of last November's terror attack in Mumbai.
Adding urgency to the atmosphere of the security issue talks were Tuesday's events in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore, where masked gunmen attacked the Sri Lankan cricket team, leaving seven persons dead in the latest terrorism to strike Pakistan.

New Delhi - FBI Director Robert Mueller will be travelling to India to boost counter-terrorism cooperation between the two countries and hold discussions in connection with the November Mumbai attacks, a news report said Sunday.
Mueller is expected to arrive on Tuesday amid growing cooperation between the Indian and US intelligence agencies after the Mumbai assault carried out by the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba militant group, which left over 170 people dead.
A major outcome of the collaboration has been tracking of telephone calls made by attackers from Mumbai to their alleged handlers in Pakistan.
Terminally ill hockey goalie back in squad

Cologne, Germany - Robert Mueller was on Wednesday picked as reserve goalkeeper for German first division ice hockey team Koelner Haie, after revealing earlier in the week that he is terminally ill.
Mueller is suffering from a fast-growing brain tumor which doctors failed twice, in November 2006 and August 2008, to fully remove.
He went public via his doctor this week with the announcement, with the doctor saying that 70 per cent of the patients die within one year after the diagnosis and only three per cent live another five years.
Bush administration proposes new tools for FBI in terror assessments

Washington, Sept 14 : The Bush administration has reportedly proposed new guidelines that would give its investigating agency the FBI more tools to assess national security and foreign intelligence threats.
FBI Director Robert Mueller will testify about the guidelines before the Congress next week, while it is learnt that the officials want these guidelines to be implemented as early as Oct. 1, reported cbs. com.
