The Indo-Pak Express lost to the Polish pair of Mariusz Frystenberg and Marcin Matkowski 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) in the semi-final clash on Saturday.

Qureshi-Bopanna had beaten the English duo of Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins 7-5, 2-5, 7-5 in the quarterfinal match.

The 210th-ranked Kudryavstev shocked Somdev 6-3, 6-4 to enter the quarterfinals.

But Bopanna kept the Indian interest alive. He with Chinese Taipei's (Taiwan) Lu Yen-hsun outplayed the Spanish pair of Inigo Cervantes-Huegun and Guillermo Plaso 6-3, 6-4.

Rohan-BopannaNew Delhi, Oct 5 : India's Rohan Bopanna marked his sensational comeback to singles play by making a quantum jump of 89 places to 358th in the Association of Tennis Professional (ATP) rankings released Monday.

The 29-year-old Bangalorean last week beat World No. 51 Argentine Jose Acasuso in the first round and then took a set off World No. 12 Chilean Fernando Gonzalez in the second.

India's No. 1 Somdev Devvarman climbed four places to 129th place while Prakash Amritraj gained two places to 229.

The wildcard Indo-Pakistani duo registered an easy win in the first set. Bopanna-Qureshi duo broke their opponents twice in the first set to take lead in the match. But they failed to capitalize on their lead as they lost second set.
