Los Angeles - Ron Howard is to direct The Parcifal Mosaic, a spy thriller based on a novel by Bourne Identity author Robert Ludlum, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The tale revolves around a CIA operative who thinks he witnessed the execution of his lover after she was identified as a KGB double agent.
The Universal Pictures film will be made as the studio prepares a fourth Bourne installment with director Paul Greengrass, and The Sigma Protocol which is an adaptation of another Ludlum spy thriller.(dpa0

London, May 12 : Tom Hanks has stopped plaguing Ron Howard with calls to act in one of his movies because the filmmaker has been rejecting the offers for the last
11 years.
Actor-turned-director Hanks revealed that he had been trying to persuade the former Happy Days star for a long time to return to TV miniseries From the Earth to the Moon, an Emmy-winning project co-produced by the duo, and co-written and co-directed by Hanks.
However, the `The Da Vinci Code' star has finally surrendered his dream of directing Howard, who had been hopping the offers.

Washington, Apr 22 : American filmmaker Ron Howard has slammed a member of the Catholic League for trying to show him as an anti-Catholic because of the movie ‘Angels and Demons’ that he directed.
William Donohue, the author of a small pamphlet called “Angels and Demons: More Demonic Than Angelic”, had condemned the film for failing to hide an “animus against all things Catholic.”
Howard, 55, retaliated by writing in a blog for the Huffington Post that he has great respect “for the Catholics and their church.”

Howard won an Oscar for directing "A Beautiful Mind," about mathematician John Forbes Nash. He earned acclaim for his picture, "Cinderella Man," the story of boxing great James J. Braddock.
His latest fact-inspired film, "Frost/Nixon," recounts British TV personality David Frost's historic interviews with U. S. President Richard Nixon, following Nixon's resignation over the Watergate scandal.
