Mumbai, Feb 12 : Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan has said that he would promote his upcoming film ''Billu'' in his own style and not to imitate anybody else''s marketing strategy
Khan is extensively promoting ''Billu'' that was earlier titled "Billu Barber''''.
Satirical about use of means like cutting of hair to promote film marketing, Khan said that he would have his own way of film promotion.
Essel Group’s direct-to-home (DTH) service Dish TV has extended its endorsement agreement with Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan for next 18 months.
Dish TV has appointed actor King Khan as its brand ambassador in 2007 for endorsing Dish TV in a competitive market environment.
According to the latest report presented by TAM AdEx, SRK occupies the No. 1 position in the country’s Top 10 list of celebrities endorsing products on television.
Mr. Salil Kapoor, Dish TV COO, said that the company aims to take Dish TV’s current subscriber base of five million to eight million by FY'10 fiscal.
To avoid further controversies, the King Khan aka the Bollywood legend Shahrukh Khan has decided to trim down the word “barber” from the title of his forthcoming home production movie ‘Billu Barber’ because of objection to the word “Barber” in the title by the Salon and Hair Dressers’ Association of Maharashtra.
The association said that “Barber” was not just an insulting term but also referred to a caste.
While talking to report persons, SRK said that his production house Red Chillies has decided to take away the word 'barber' from all the posters.

Khan talking to reporters said that his production house Red Chillies has decided to drop the word ''barber'' from all the posters.
He said that since the film is slated for release later this week, there isn''t much that can be done. But he added that he doesn''t want to invoke the wrath of any section of the society.
When it comes to endorse products on TV, no one seems to be closer to King Khan aka Shah Rukh Khan.
