Dhoni's security to be enhanced: Jharkhand Chief MinisterRanchi/New Delhi, Dec 5 : Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren has said that the state government would consider enhancing the security level of Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Dhoni is reportedly unimpressed with the security he has been given. After receiving death threats from Maoists, the Jharkhand Government had provided him additional security cover.

"When we will receive a report for enhancing Dhoni''s security, then we will provide him with more security," said Soren.

Shibu Soren runs into fresh controversyRanchi, Nov 2 : Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren has run into a fresh controversy with former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi alleging that he has links with the chief of an outlawed extremist outfit in the state. 

Marandi, who is also heading the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (P), is demanding a CBI inquiry into the matter in the wake of reports of one hardcore member of the Jharkhand Liberation Tigers (JLT) that Soren is in touch with the head of JLT.

JLT is splinter group of the outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist) in the state.

Earlier, Governor Syed Sibtey Razi had directed Soren to prove his majority on the floor of the House by Monday.

Shibu Soren Government wins trust vote in Jharkhand

Shibu Soren Ranchi, Aug 29 : Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren today proved majority on the floor of the State Assembly, receiving 42 votes in favour and 34 against him.

State Governor Syed Sibtey Razi administered the oath of office and secrecy to Soren and 11 of his cabinet colleagues on Wednesday.

The 11 ministers are Stephen Marandi (Independent), Sudhir Mahto (JMM), Kamlesh Kumar Singh (Nationalist Congress Party-NCP), Anosh Ekka (Ind.), Hari Narayan Rai
(Ind.), Joba Majhi (Ind.), Nalin Soren (JMM), Bandhu Tirkey (Ind.), Aparna Sengupta (Forward Bloc), Dulal Bhuiya (JMM), Bhanu Pratap Sahi (Ind).

Soren Government to prove its majority on September 1

Sibu SarenRanchi, Aug 29 : Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren, who was sworn-in as the state''s chief minister for the second time, will prove his majority on the floor of the State Assembly on September 1.

A special session of the Jharkhand Assembly has been convened here for the trial of strength of the Shibu Soren Government. Governor Syed Sibtey Razi has directed Soren to prove his majority on the floor of the House by Monday.
