London, Aug 28 : American author Stephenie Meyer's vampire saga has helped put Emily Bronte's 1847 novel `Wuthering Heights' at the top of the Waterstone's classics chart.
Meyer's `Twilight' has made Bronte's novel become famous among teenage readers, with the story highlighting `Wuthering Heights' as being the central character's favourite book.
In Eclipse, the third book in Meyer's series, Bella Swan, the chaste love of vampire Edward Cullen, makes repeated references to Bronte's masterpiece.

London, Aug 21 : Twilight author Stephenie Meyer has been accused of plagiarism by an American woman.
Jordan Scott has alleged that the 2008 novel Breaking Dawn has a "striking and substantial similarity" to her 2006 fantasy The Nocturne.
She has now sent a cease and desist letter to the publishers of the fourth book in the hit Twilight series.
Scott has also filed a lawsuit to stop the sale of the novel and seek damages, reports the Daily Express.

London, Aug 5 : Stephenie Meyer, author of Twilight, has been accused of plagiarism by Jordan Scott, author of `The Nocturne.'
In a cease and desist letter to the publishers of Meyer''s `Breaking Dawn', the fourth in the hit series, Scott has claimed that the 2008 novel bears a `striking and substantial similarity' to her 2006 fantasy book `The Nocturne'.
Scott has accused Meyer of recreating specific scenes from her own vampire novel and using near-identical dialogue.
However, a rep for Meyer is adamant Scott''s claims are completely false.
Twilight author sued for plagiarism

Los Angeles - Twilight author Stephenie Meyer has been charged with plagiarism by the author of a novel published on the internet.
According to celebrity website TMZ. com, author Jordan Scott claims in a cease and desist letter obtained by the website that Meyer lifted parts of Breaking Dawn from Scott's 1996 vampire tale The Nocturne.
The letter claims several similarities in the plots and in the wording of several passages, but a representative for Meyer dismissed the allegations out of hand.

London, Apr 22 : Filming of American author Stephenie Meyer’s ‘Twilight’ sequel ‘New Moon’ will be going on as scheduled despite the lawsuit that has been filed against her.
Meyer, 35, is facing legal action from her former college roommate, who alleges that the writer based the novels on a short story she wrote as a student.
As per reports, the lawsuit is said to have interfered with the filming of the second film, and Internet gossips also speculated that its shooting in Canada has been halted.

Washington, Nov 15 : Upcoming film ‘Twilight’, based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer, has been elected as the most anticipated movie of the holiday season.
The movie, which opens on November 21, is said to be the second most inquired after film on moviefone. com, and has also got an enormous advance sale before that date, Fox News reported.
Twilight is a romantic-fantasy film directed by Catherine Hardwicke. It is so big that its soundtrack, featuring a number of indie bands, debuted at number one position this week.
The film revolves around a teenage girl who falls in love with a vampire.
